You are our Hero

In the heart of Kwazulu Natal, the province most devastated by HIV/AIDS in South Africa, in a town called Pietermaritzburg, there is a centre for orphans. But it is more than that. It is the epicentre of love, of hope that pulsates all the way out to Sweetwaters.

Since 1998 Gail has given her life energy to creating the building blocks of her vision to care for, comfort and give hope to the sick and suffering, those affected and infected by HIV/AIDS.

Gail directs this huge project of mercy, this ministry of love and she does it with insufficient resources. She inspires loyalty and dedication at the deepest level from her team. She is 'Mama Gail' to the many, many children who recognise her.

It is from personally knowing her, seeing what she and her team achieve with inadequate resources, being overwhelmed by the difference a little can make, witnessing the storms she has weathered, that inspires us, that strongly challenges us to do what we can to support this amazing work.
